About Us

Woof! is the realization of owner Tracy Hiuser's dream of owning a state of the art pet facility and being able
to offer her clients quality pet services at reasonable rates.

Tracy began her passion with animals when growing up in Embro, Ontario. In 1997, Tracy decided to change her career path and began apprenticing with a top breeding kennel and groom shop in Brantford, Ontario.

Tracy began breeding, training, grooming and handling champion Minature Schnauzers under the prefix Meinkismah (My Destiny) and currently has owned & bred 40+ champions including Best In Show, Best Puppy In Show and Best In Specialty Show winners and top dogs in Canada, Brazil and Romania. She also opened her first groom shop "The Dog'S'Paw" in Cambridge, Ontario. Several years later she returned to Oxford County and continued her business from the family home in Embro.

In 2001, Tracy began assisting John Huigenbos DVM and developed specialized skills in handling and caring for sick, stressed, convalescing and recovering animals. Her passion for Animal Wellness led to her decision to build a boarding facility focused on Wellness services.

In 2011, Tracy began plans to build Woof!

John Huigenbos joined the Woof! Project following his retirement from practice. He continues to enjoy his work with animals as he assists and consults on Wellness practices in Woof!'s Groom Salon, Daycare and Boarding.

Rebbecca Hudson has a long history of volunteer work with animals and joined Tracy as an apprentice at Meinkismah in 2010. In 2013 she joined the Woof! staff as a part time assistant and puppy nanny.

Valerie Boyce came to Woof! as an intern from Ridgetown College and remains as a part time assistant with goals in animal training.
